Holton model TU330CC "Harvey Phillips" tuba

TU330CC Ad In collaboration with world-renowned tubist Harvey Phillips, Holton sought to create an instrument worthy of the talents of the great artist who would play it. Working on the first tuba created entirely on computer, Holton engineers were able to reproduce their intended designs more accurately than ever before possible. The result is a tuba that is ideal for the majority of the world’s tuba repertoire from orchestra, band, wind ensemble, brass choir, brass quintet and jazz ensemble. Featuring the sought-after American taper design, the instrument produces an air column that exits the valve section through a perfectly smooth and uninterrupted path all the way to the bell, resulting in an incredibly pure C tuba sound suited for the soloist. Harvey Phillips says of his instrument, “The Holton TU330CC tuba gives players immediate response with a subtle resistance that allows performers flexibility and control of every tone. Players are able to apply personal nuance to every music discipline, whether technical or lyrical. Players will be able to utilize their full range from low to high.”
